Tamarin? He greeted us wth bared teeth, then sat down and stuck out his tongue.
Chimps strolling about, far more active and visible than usual. For many years it was presumed this was just a grassland exhibit.
Panthera Leo was very lazy and didn't like to do much, but he told grand tales of his hunts in the veldt. He was a lying, lying lion.
Snow monkey.
Zaboomafu
Meerkats -- always appearing so angry.
Other than this one that was falling asleep. He was head bobbing -- waking when his shnoz hit the sand.
Unicorns.
Mirrah!
Harringbone horse.
This deer turned it's backside to us each time we tried to take a picture. We didn't really want a picture, anyhow, it just struck us novel that its body shape was very similar to Ranger.
Grizzly, having fun: "I'm on a rocket!" Dr. Strangebear, we'll meet again.
Kangaroo, staring.
Three legged kangaroo, desparately trying to reach an itch.
Prairie dogs.
Prairie dogs.
Across from the prairie dog exhibit, there is a swamp from which this little duckling escaped. He was chiping madly for his mama..
...finally climbing this rock then falling into the exhibit. Walking around to the front, he was spotted, reuniting with his siblings, that had already done the same. More evidence that having siblings is a leading factor for getting into trouble.
This fellow is always impressive.
And very well mannered.
Carousel
Cayman.
Kid and Cayman.
Tortoise riders.
More ducklings, these wisely staying close to their mother.
A tuckered tyke, making one last stop at the spitting frogs.
