Jared, briefly

This kid has grown to be one mellow fellow, very cuddly and had developed a woderful wry sense of humor.  Much like his grandfather, he continues to get in trouble for reading too much.  Occasionally he'll still strike a pose for the camera, but more often than not, he'll slyly slip away.

He is his little brothers biggest hero and best friend, and for the most part embraces that, introducing the little guy to all of his interests, like minecraft, swordplay, gunfights, ninjago...  We may need to revisit this...

He also recently took up the french horn.  Playing the horn has not been an intuitive for him, but in the past few weeks as we've worked together, he's started to pick up the feel for it.  His band finally had their first concert -- See him there?

His little head is sitting just beneath the kettle drum, there.  This was the first time he'd played with other hornists and high schoolers at that.  Unsurprisingly, they were extremely friendly, giving him helpful pointers and encouraging him to continue.  I have also encouraged him to continue as the practice can have a wonderful soothing effect, and, as I've told him, everyone knows horn players are the best kissers.

Unfortunately, his sister seems to have talked him out of band in junior high...  Sibling influence... What are you going to do?
