The kid

An amusing behavior that William has exhibited since early on – and initially to our great alarm – is an inclination for specific ordering of objects.  This tendency was first noticed, the first camping trip we took him on, in 2008, when he sat at the cabinet beneath the sink in the trailer, opened the door and very meticulously pulled every object out – bottles of soap, bubbles, empty cans, er, wine, etc.

He pulled the tallest out first, then, continued, in order to the shortest.  Weird enough to watch one time, but then, he put them back into the cupboard in the same manner, and repeated this process continuously until one of his parents hyperventilated and took him outside to play with matches, encouraging him to scream loudly.
He also likes to sort the letters on the side of the refrigerator into separate colors…  We are very, very grateful he is extremely verbal:

Notice, of course, the dinosaurs are in their proper order…
