Brain freeze
SSC, mission hour: 38,610.2
Update: The onus for the incident at hour 38,578.43 was ruled principally upon the Juemx and our culpability negligible.
As a diplomatic gesture, we have agreed to freight a young Juemx survivor headed for Central System. The hold will be converted for passenger travel and the course deviation will dually allow remedy to the microbolometer detector that was damaged by the impact.
SSC, mission hour: 38,617.7
13.2 post departure, unable to operate the solar array on the implement extension. Visual inspection reveals no physical damage. Circuit scan showed no anomalies.
SSC mission hour: 39,220.6
Central System, 3rd planet. Arrival inconsequential. Array motors and I.I.S. parts requisitioned and installed. Full vessel integrity.
Intermittent alarm signaling. Aquobs insist it is system error. Circuit scans show no anomalies. Juemx denied entry and will remain aboard as navigation terp, as per treaty ACHY7982.229, ednote 5.2.
SSC mission hour: 39,221.1
I
nitiating emergency departure. Full alarm signaling, Infrared Imaging System indicates thermal inconsistancies in counter to visual observation. All systems off for Dark Fusion Reactor activation.
SSC mission hour: 39,222.5
Sequence successful. Departure inhibited by attack with natto-like substance. Ascending with difficulty, engagement action as able. I.I.S. only reliable attack source detector.
SSC mission hour: 39,228.9
Atmosphere burn off cleared vessel of ooze. I.I.S. indicated pursuit. Multiple volleys fired at the thermal anomolies resulting in massive explosions . Time of flight sensor not functioning.
Ordered Capt. Lethean to engage all crew then realized we left him behind. Sorry.
SSC mission hour: 39,228.9
Vessel incapacitated. Reactor has failed; time of flight sensor not functioning. The entire vessel is covered in natto and engulfed by the thermal anomaly. Sensors indicate the sample hold has been breached.
SSC mission hour: 39,229.3
All systems are reactivated. Upon breach of the sample hold, the I.I.S. indicated a rapid temperature decrease in the thermal anomaly.
Sample is lost however vessel is at full function. Whatever it was, it’s singular goal seems to have been to secure the sample. The action was simply unnecessary as Earth-day 7/11 samples are given away free. An unfortunate consequence of our rapid departure was the spearing of an Aquob technician by the organic oxidant detector.
SSC mission hour: 39,257.2
Incident relayed to control. Diplomatic relations with the Aquob have been suspended pending investigation. Juemx passenger promoted to captain.
