Dont it make you smile like a forest fire

As previously mentioned, we returened to Metamora this past weekend with Mom, Dad and Rachel. The last trip here with Mom and Dad began with a tornado; fortunately we experienced far less drama this time. Spring colors have just begun to exhibit:


We had a fantastic time hiking, biking, playing at the park,

and just relaxing.



However, no trip would be complete without a little excitement. Just as we were leaving, several fire trucks came racing into the campground and we were informed that a forest fire had been reported back on the trails. It didn't seem too serious though every fireperson in mid-Michigan seemed to stream to the occasion -- a good thing i believe..





William was bemused.
