Bufo Americanus

This is our most frequent amphibian visitor the eastern american toad. His call can be heard from throughout the spring and summer.It is best distinguished from the Fowler's toad by the large swellings behind its eyes. This one became trapped in a waste can over the weekend. Fortunately the animal rescuers were on the job.
