Merry Christmas - the lost card

(Someone keeps posting neuroscienc-y stuff on here...I think they are trying to tell me that I dont' update this blog enough with adorable pics of the kids)

For many years, I have prided myself on creating a photo Christmas card to send out to family and friends.  I search for hours for the perfect pic...whether it be a favorite from a summer vacation, a studio posed pic or a home posed pic.

This year - I failed.  F.A.I.L.E.D!!!!  With all 3 kiddos in school now, we get school pics.  And I had a plethora (like that one, Dan?) of wallet sized pictures.  Enough to wallpaper a room with!  So, I opted for a box of cards and threw in school pics.  Cards were then mailed out the first week of December.

I feel so ashamed.....that is so below my previously set standards (ok, except for that one year that I didn't even send out cards, AT ALL....but that's a post for another time....or not).

The other night I bribed kindly asked the kids, in their Chritsmas pj's, to sit under the tree and look adorable.  I needed a picture for a holiday related work project.

After taking a few, I finally got the right one.  I showed it to Dan.....and he said "hey, that will make a great Christmas card".  OUCH!!!!!

I already have plans for next year's card.....it will be a collage.  It will be the best one ever.  It will be interactive, it will sing, it will dance, It will contain so many pictures, you will tire of looking at all of the cuteness.....ok, it will probably only be 3 or 4 pictures....because, honestly, we all know I won't even think about putting it together till November....and then I will rush to find the perfect picture....and then for a moment I will think about throwing in some school pictures....and then, Dan - you will remind me that I need to take a picture of the kids in front of the tree.

And here's the pic.....
