Getting Crafty (Ok, not really...)

Shortly after inheriting Bacia's sewing machine in the spring, I decided I wanted to make a few throw pillows for our bed. I happened upon some remnants on the 75% off rack at the craft store and picked up a bag of fluff. I then proceeded to put the bag of supplies on the shelf in the basement and forget about it. This was Bacia's sewing machine after all....I wasn't ready to use it. That, and it had been 20 years since my high school home ec class.

We had pulled out the sewing machine last week for Dan to make Ari's halloween costume and I decided to go ahead and make the pillows. I mean seriously, it's a square (or not with the way I cut the material...)

I finally (with Dan's help in setting up the machine) made the pillows today.

They aren't perfect. And there's nothing special about them. But I made them and they work just fine on my bed.

Now I think I want to re-cover the throw pillows on my couch.
