Well, we made the move last Saturday. Last Friday, Dan and I were up till midnight organizing everything to load on the truck. Saturday morning, we were up bright and early and the boys headed out to get the truck and Ari and I headed to breakfast (you like how I worked that one?!)
It required 2 trips in the large moving truck, not to mention loading up my minivan a few times. There were also a few required trips of loading up the suburban AND minivan on Sunday but by Sunday night, all of our worldy possessions were tucked away somewhere in the new house.
Dan had to work on Monday but I think he enjoyed the reprieve from physical labor. By the time I returned to work on Tuesday, we had done away with about 75% of the boxes on the main floor.
It has been pushing 100 degrees every day this week, so any type of physical activity requires 4 showers after. Can't wait to see that electric and water bill......oh wait, yes, I can wait....they can keep it!
My Dad has been our master gardener this week as there was ALOT of outdoor clean up. My mom has helped me organize the kitchen, she (and my grandma) have done our laundry (our laundry room will be functional by tonight) and my sister has helped Ari organize her room (and she cleaned my bathroom!). My in-laws watched Will for us on Saturday and have provided us with meals.
We have met several of our neighbors. We had a great fireworks display Sunday night and we, after only being in this house for 5 days, have determined that we L.O.V.E. it and hope to not move again for a really really REALLY long time.
Our portable garden made the transition fairly well. We are nursing our tomato plants back a little bit but all in all, we should be feasting from the garden bounty soon!
So far only one computer is hooked up and the kids tend to monopolize it. And frankly, I haven't found time, while at home, to go online.
Hopefully this weekend I can get some pics up for you.
That's all for now - just wanted you to know we survived the move!

Loved the update, I know EXACTLY what you're going through --the survival mode--although sounds like you have made awesome progress even in the insane heat of the weekend!!!
You all deserve a night out! :)
In other related notes--Trevor's "company car" arrived yesterday--guess where it came from? FH, Michigan!!
Wow. You all did an amazing job and I'm so glad the family is there for support--makes it all a little more sane. I'm glad you are loving it there. I can't wait to see the pics!
