See - I Told You We Were Being Invaded!

It's kohlrabi. But the kids thought it looked like a space alien and named it George.

I had never had one before but the farmer I bought it from convinced me to try one. He explained it as 'crispy like a radish but without the kick'. Sounded good to me.

As I was cutting it up, Will and Gina asked to try it. I think Gina liked it. Will definitely did as he kept asking for "mo pease".

I added it to our salad yesterday and I really enjoyed the crunch it gave.

George (er, I mean the kohlrabi) was very tasty!!
