Fancy feast

We have been trying to make more of the food we eat and consequently Jen has been baking some fantastic breads and granola. The little e's I have been making lots of homemade pasta and all of this has been so good we have vowed never to go back to the store bought versions -- especially the tortillas!

The garden is also providing for some great pesticide free produce and all this has led to some fantastic dinners.

Spinach has been scarce in the markets this year so we are fortunate the rabbits have allowed us to enjoy our own on a regular basis.

And we have been using basil abundantly.

A couple nights ago Jen whipped the basil into a nice batch of pesto

We picked some green beans,

Jared made some fettucini
Jen made some popovers
and we had a marvelous feast of homegrown/made food.
The next night we fancied up our salads with some foreign fruits, but it looked nice.

Jen made some fish cakes, Ari whipped up a batch of angel hair pasta and, of course, more green beans.

Not a bad week for meals..
