As always, little e's and water are drawn together while the dog is just impervious.
They began by dipping only their toes but concluded with complete submersion. Once suitably soaked, they decorated themselves with sand as they dug a pit on the beach which was to serve as the couldron in which they would boil the black walnuts found nearby...
As J rinsed the sand off his hands he noted,"It's weird how we rinse our hands in the same water where the fish swim." True that is!
Jen wasn't so thrilled with the prospect of saturated children and wet dog in the car for the ride back to the campsite and told us all we had to walk back, even though I wasn't wet!
We compromised by throwing the little e's in the cargo area.
(That later became their clubhouse)
