Michigan chiller

The little e's have an exceptional attraction to water.

We had driven for some time down a densely forrested, one lane, two way road with nowhere to turn around when we came across a turn out dotted with "Don't Step On The Piping Plover" signs and in the distance: water.

Consequently the small e's jettisoned from the vehicle near soon as we'd made the turn.

As we approached the water's edge, the terrain struck us a bit odd with much muck through which to slog.

The children, regardless trolloped waterside

We surveyed the topography and noticed something odd

The view from a different perspective.

That which upon the e-crew stands is a boat launch. See anything wrong? Apparently a good portion of Lake Michigan has gone missing. Twenty yards out is the water and we are looking down at it from the boat launch.

I've seen this before and immediately recognized it as the work of the Combine .

My crowbar at the ready, carefully we avoided stepping on the sand and disturbing the Antlions.

Upon re-acquainting with tangible reality we were thoroughly awed by the mammoth loss water from the lake..
