Mirroring the Detroit Tigers, the St Clair Shores Devil Rays recovered from an 0-3 start and clawed their way into the post-season, winning six of their last seven games.

Under darkening skies, the Devil Rays peppered the hapless Cardinals 16-9 in the opening round of the playoffs and moved one victory away from the title game.

Ari didn't get much to swing at but walked three times, stole five bases and scored three runs! She also flashed some leather on the field reeling in a blazing grounder between first and second (mild embellishment).
