Work to the burn

The kids returned to their fields of play, Ari to softball and Jared to soccer.

Softball was only practice but Ari nailed a home run, lining a shot between the third basewoman and the shortstop. She made it to third before the ball returned to the infield and powered home when the throw pulled the third basewoman towards second and into the outfield. She beat the throw home by a good five feet.
The Red Dragons took on the blue barrons. The Barrons scored three quick goals and our Red Dragons never recovered. However, the Barrons were shut out from the 2nd quarter on and the lone goal was scored by Jared. Despite having only 4 players show and the four having to play the entire game (the Barrons had 8), the Red Dragons never quit and played hard to the end.
