Hyla chrysoscelis

Revised: Not Hyla Chrysoscelis.. Hyla Versicolor. Look similar.. Sound similar.. Fortunately the kids know what they are doing..

In last year's Science Olympiad Ari was part of the Wildlife Safari team and we learned to identify all of the amphibians and reptiles in Michigan both visually and by their calls. For the past few weeks the mornings and evenings have been dominated by the call of Cope's Gray Treefrog. On April 13th snow fell and the sound of these frogs, magpies and red winged blackbirds created a fantastic din that enveloped the morning.

According to this they can often be found clinging to windows at night.
